Thinking about moving to Italy? I just returned from a quick trip to the States and I was surprised by how many people are seriously contemplating a move to Italy.

True, there have always been those who romanticize the idea of living in Italy and other Southern European countries to enjoy the Mediterranean climate, food and culture but I've always viewed this chatter as more of a fantasy than a reality. Now after my recent trip I've seen that for many the idea has transformed from wishful thinking into a plan.

I think all of you know by now that I've lived in Italy for almost 40 years. I've always lived in Rome. I started off right in the historic center of the Eternal City in a gorgeous palazzo, Palazzo Ricci. (Photo above)
