This past week, we headed up to Piedmont for a week of exploration into a region I've frequently overlooked. Along with two dear friends who visit Italy this time of year every year, we worked out a plan to take a deep dive into Piedmont wines, and unique specialty foods like the Alba white truffle and Gianduia chocolates.

My podcast episode this week was all about the wines from Piedmont. I love Piedmont wines and they’re perhaps the best known worldwide; think Barolo and Barbaresco.

It's one thing to enjoy the wines - which I've been doing for years - and quite another to head up into the Piedmont hills to visit these exquisite wineries.
