Friends, it’s that time of year again—time to reflect on the past 12 months and think about how we want to grow, improve, and make a difference in the year to come. New Year’s resolutions are always a mix of excitement and challenge. We dream big, we set ambitious goals, but let’s be honest, many resolutions don’t make it past February. I know, I’ve been there many times.
That’s why this year, I’m taking a different approach. Instead of overwhelming myself with a long list, I’m focusing on two simple yet powerful resolutions that are not only doable but impactful. They’ll benefit both my personal well-being and the world around me—and I’m hoping they might inspire you, too.

Butternut Squash Gnocchi
Serves 4-6
Ingredients
Butternut squash, 1 kilogram (35 ounces)*
Flour, 300 grams (10 1/2 ounces)
1 egg
Guanciale (pork jowl), 100 grams (3 1/2 ounces)
Sage leaves, about 15/20
Parmesan, freshly grated, 60 grams (2 ounces)
Black pepper, freshly ground, 1/2 teaspoon
Salt, to taste
